Health authorities on Thursday said that action under law will be taken against mischief mongers who according to it cropped an advertisement regarding benefits to pregnant woman under central sponsored scheme. The health department (NRHM) had issued an advertisement showing a pregnant woman on left side and health minister Bali Bhagat on the right side of it with a quote from woman: "On 9th of every month doctor comes on his own; pregnant woman like me are examined for ANC free of cost; come and take benefit of the facility for your own health as well as for safe birth of your child" However, according to the NRHM authorities, the picture of the woman has been cropped by the mischief mongers and thus attributes the quote to the health minister shown on the right side of it. "We have taken strong note of it and the mischief mongers will be identified and strict action will be taken against them", Director NRHM Dr Mohan Singh told news agency GNS. The NHRM's avowal comes after Omar Abdullah, the former chief minister of the state, took to twitter to criticize the government for declaring their male health minister "pregnant' and attending antenatal classes. "After the Rural Development Dept gave Nov 31 days the Health Dept has just declared that their Minister (male) is pregnant & attending Antenatal classes. Small mistakes point to a lack of seriousness & lack of attention to detail", Omar tweeted.
